Souncheck for Success is a professional development day presented by the Jack Richardson London Music Awards in Partnership with the London Music Office, MusicOntario and Nimbus School of Recording & Media for registered guests to network and learn from the best in the music industry.
Soundcheck for Success has become an important part of our Jack Richardson London Music Awards weekend with a focus on educating Londoners, while providing guidance in a challenging industry. This year’s event offers exciting panels, mentoring opportunities, and showcase performances all within a full day of programming!
CUTTING THROUGH THE NOISE: A look at where you should be spending your time and energy to maximize awareness for your music.
WHERE’S THE MONEY: Finding the money and then getting it into your pocket. Attendees will be introduced to a number of organizations and specialists whose jobs are dedicated to getting artists paid!
ANATOMY OF A CAREER: What does a manager and their team do for you? How do you build your team, who does it consist of and when do you need it.
MUSIC-PRENEURSHIP: There’s more to music than playing in a band. This panel of DIY entrepreneurs have all created a career for themselves finding a niche within the music business.
PRODUCERS PANEL 2.0: Following the success of last year’s inaugural producer’s panel, Garth Richardson and an ‘A List’ of producers channel their inner Jack to ask, What Would Jack Say? We’re excited to have Bob Ezrin on the panel this year.
SEEN & “HER”D: An honest and candid discussion about the gender gap within the music industry. Where things stand and what’s being done to move forward.
MENTOR LOUNGE: Presented by Music Ontario
Connect with industry professionals one-on-one and ask those questions you’ve always wanted to have answered.
SHOWCASES: New this year, this year’s event features three London artists playing solo acoustic sets for industry professionals.
