Buzzing London-based duo Over Sands return with “Memory House”, a groovy and soulful number off their upcoming EP Roman Rooms. Iridescent synths ebb and flow like tides over silky smooth vocals, making this the perfect late summer jam. Rightfully so – their big single has broke the top 10 on Hype Machine’s charts and has amassed over 40,000 plays on Soundcloud in as little as a month. But that shouldn’t come as any surprise to the English brothers, whose work already sounds polished and definitive.

One can’t help but recall Grizzly Bear, albeit dreamier and more awash in electronics. Over Sands’ heartwarming indie guitar riffs tie it all together, making this a satisfying listening experience with a little bit of everything to enjoy. On their latest track “Woke Up Haunted”, a brooding pop refrain accompanies retro-flavored strings that loom more than they dazzle. Stay tuned for the new EP, set to be released on September 2nd through B3SCI Records.
