Ten Sleep is a two-piece chill-vibe pop/rock band from Kingston, ON Canada. The duo released their music video single, ‘Roommates’ earlier in May from their 7-track EP, ‘Suburban Lore’.

‘Roommates’ delves into the rite of passage almost every young adult is forced to go through. The track sustains a restless relaxation while mocking the stereotypical ‘Roommate’. An intriguing weirdness and dark humuor remains stimulated by a posi-vibe groove that the track progresses into instrumentally. Managing to calm and excite simultaneously. Though, when watching the video it becomes more apparent that the meaning goes further beyond having a ‘sh!tty roommate’. The emotionless voice complaining about his roommate, who is drinking beer out of a cereal bowl, goes on to talk about his couch mate. As the video progresses it becomes unclear whether the speaker exists to those around him.
