Foxxxy Mulder, a shoegaze/darkwave duo based out of Seattle and Fairbanks, are set to release their debut 7-song EP, ‘Premarital Hex’, on June 29, 2017. Their first single from the record, ‘In the Shadows’, was released along with a music video on June 15.

Their music is said to be inspired by horror films and it’s clear after watching their video ‘In the Shadows’ that it too was also influenced right along with the song. The video below uses clips from 1962 movie, Carnival of Souls.

Audio only:

The project began when Kori came to Seattle for a visit and David bought a 45 of Billy Idol’s ‘Eyes Without a Face’ at a thrift store. They listened to the record slowed to 33 rpm and were forever changed. They began recording songs long-distance, the first of which was a slowed-down, fuzzed-out cover of ‘Eyes Without a Face’. Things developed from there.

Listen to Foxxxy Mulder’s first recorded track, ‘Eyes Without A Face’ below.
