Throw out everything you thought a genre was and travel through time listening to this blues, electronic, folk and ambient music infused album. This is Andrew Rothschild and he is paving the way for what he calls, “Bluestronica”. With deep guitar riffs and ambient electronic beats (think Tycho), Andrew creates this sort of intense but soothing atmosphere that carries over the whole album.
The lead single, “Eunoia” is electrifyingly beautiful, listen below:
With only 78 likes on Facebook, people are sleeping on this up-and-coming artist. Andrew has no plans for touring as he is still building up content and exposure. His debut album The Stampede of Life, was released in March of this year and he followed it up excellently with the release of this album, S.F.A.² just a couple months ago.
Reigning out of Portland, Oregon, Andrew says his main influences range from rock legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn to folk stars like Iron & Wine and even to electronic bands including Emancipator, Bonobo and Tycho. All of these influences are clearly evident in his music and fuse together to form this interesting genre of “Bluestronica”.
