Indie Underground is proud to present to you the opportunity to play at the 2016 Dundas Street Festival in London, Ontario!

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS:
May 31, 2016 at 11:59pm EST

We are excited to launch music submissions for the 7th Annual Dundas Street Festival in London Ontario (September, 16-18) for all music genres (including bands, solo acts, DJs and other unique musical performers).

If selected to play at Dundas Street Festival, you will receive a guaranteed amount of money (amounts will vary), plus extras.

Submissions are considered by a diverse listening committee (made up of festival staff, musicians and industry professionals) and selected by the Festival Music Director (Founder / Chief Editor of IndieUnderground.ca). The committee will assess submissions for quality as well as fit with the festival’s vision and schedule. The quality of the music submitted is far more important to our committee than production quality, promotional photos, live footage or media coverage, although these things can help us both for promotion.

Last year Dundas Street Festival had over 20,000 people attend the one-day celebration. This year we expect over 50,000 attendees as we are expanding to three days and moving the Festival from June to September. This change is very important and unique to our free festival, as makes Dundas Street Festival accessible to the two major post-secondary schools in London Ontario (Western University – Yearly Enrollment: 30,00 and Fanshawe College – Yearly Enrollment: 15,000). Add that exciting exposure to students along with London’s overall population (approaching, 400,000 people) and neighbouring cities that are all within a two-hour drive to London (Windsor, Sarnia, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Niagara Region, Toronto, Detroit and Buffalo), and you have yourself a very intriguing opportunity.

Your submission will compete with approximately 50 available music slots. Regardless of the outcome of your submission, we appreciate your interest in playing Dundas Street Festival. We welcome your continued creative work. We cannot guarantee that you will be selected to play the Dundas Street Festival this year, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be considered for future years.

If selected to play Dundas Street Festival, we gratefully respect that you do not book a show within London, Ontario leading up to the festival date within the month of September 2016.
