New single looks you straight in the eyes and doesn’t let down!

Indie Underground is proud to exclusively premiere Breanna Barbara’s beautifully blunt and empowering new single, “Who Are You” worldwide today (Thursday, June 16th)!

Singer-songwriter Breanna Barbara’s forthcoming “Mirage Dreams” (releases July 22nd on No Roads Records) introduces a bold new voice steeped in occult blues (think of it as a Southern Gothic fusion of blues and psychedelia), with songs about losing a parent to an overdose and a New York of empty clubs and sweaty, unairconditioned lofts but also about falling in love and finding an artistic voice.

Breanna Barbara on the raw inspiration behind “Who Am I”:

This one is pretty straightforward. I am an extremely emotional creature, and after attending six years of acting school, I became very in touch with those emotions. I had a few relationships in my life where the other person was telling me to turn off those feelings, try being a little less sensitive. And trust me, if I could I would! Haha! But honestly, this song is an anthem for anyone out there who has been told how to be. No one should ever tell you how to feel. tweet

Go ahead, open the door, press play and hear what Breanna Barbara (Brooklyn, New York) has to say in “Who Are You” and use what she has to say to your advantage!
