Calling John Cusack and John Hughes! We got your next soundtrack single!

From Shymkent, Kazakhstan comes the indie rock band, Buttness and their freshly released (and scented) album, “All Holes Are Black”. Also, can we note that Buttness deserves a trophy for the best combination of Band Name and Album Title? I love it!

Buttness says their influences are Radiohead, The Beatles, Jesus and Mary Chain, Dinosours Jr, Chemical Brothers, Blur and The Cure. Band members are Yeldos Zarpullayev (vocals, guitar) and Yerlan Akhmetov (bass guitar). Since 2010, Buttness dreamt of recording their first album in the UK, and eventually they recorded the album “All Holes Are Black” in Glasgow with help of studio session drummers Ian Cronan and Calum Sneddon in 2015. Yeldos Zarpullayev wrote all the music and lyrics for the album. Buttness recorded their songs in the Green Door Studio in Scotland, which was produced by Samuel Joseph Smith.

Listen to Indie Underground’s favourite Buttness track below, it’s called, “Apparent Time To Shine”.
