New Music: MISE EN SCENE – “Sweet William” (Indie Rock / Pop)

I had the opportunity and took it to see Mise en Scene live in Toronto over Canadian Music week a couple weeks ago at Sonic Boom Records. And am I ever glad that I did as it was a great set. Stefanie Johnson (lead singer & guitar) was infectious – electrifying the audience with her guitar and vocals as well as keeping everyone engaged with a healthy bit of interaction – all this in a Record Store window in the early afternoon. It was a stellar performance! Stefanie was a photographers dream as she owned the stage and ever so often talking with her pleather pants partner in music, Jodi Dunlop (Drums). It was hard not to smile as I watched both musicians smiling and communicating with their eyes and motions towards each other and then back to the crowd.

Have a listen to Mise en Scene’s “Sweet William” below.
