Inspired by Sade, Norah Jones, Bon Iver and Sia!

Singer-songwriter, NAKAYA has used her influences to inspire her songwriting and continues to broaden her musical palate.

The LA native / New York-residing artist marries R&B, pop and a little electronica with potent songwriting with her new single, “Lose It Too”.

NAKAYA explains more about “Lose It Too”:

“Lose It Too” speaks on the encompassing feelings that come with wanting to be with someone just barely out of your reach.  A lot of love we see in the media is reciprocated, but I’ve had many experiences of unrequited love that are simply out of my control. You learn to create a heightened allure to the one you want to be with, regardless of it¹s truth. As I wrote the song, I began to recognize these feelings, without growing overwhelmed by them, and I wanted to portray this in the video as well.”

The songstress has performed at the 2015 CMJ Music Festival, in addition to Sofar Sounds NYC, and numerous other venues throughout the states. She is currently at work on new material, with a variety of up and coming producers.
