Zola Blood’s new single is located someplace in the middle of a dance / chill / tranquil triangle!

Zola Blood (East London, UK) return with the first single from their self-produced debut album, “Infinite Games.” slated for release on July 25.

“Heartbeat” was written and recorded in the band’s Hackney studio and takes cues from the likes of techno heroes Matthew Dear and Trentemoller, blending layers of sumptuous percussion, analog synths and atmospheric guitars. Musically it reflects the band’s love of the dance music that pervades the area where they work into the night. Hang drums and acoustic guitars combine in complex rhythms, giving way to a euphoric climax, while the lyrics tell the story of a relationship that should never have been.
