By the time last Saturday rolled around I had a hankering to see Snowmine live at The Garrison in Toronto for the 20th NXNE Music Festival. They’re single, “Rome” (listen / download for free below) had been a constant in my headphones leading up to the show, which only made me increasingly excited to see how their live performance measured up.

The “5-piece  Indie Pop / Rock Band from Brooklyn made their presence felt immediately with movement and excitement that came from their aggressive lead guitarist,  Austin Mendenhall (who can be seen in the photos below). Unfortunately with the high stage and large keyboard case it was difficult to get a decent photo of lead singer, Grayson Sanders. That said, his vocal range and effort did not go unnoticed and appreciated. On either side of me, within the crowd there were members Indie Synth-Pop heavyweights, Small Black who also seemed to adore Snowmine’s performance (listen to a Snowmine remix of Small Black song, “Reconstruction” below).

Snowmine finished their set leaving the crowd wanting more from their fantastic short but sweet show. Thank god for their true to live sound.

The first two songs are from Snowmine’s new album, “Dialects”. The first track is “Rome” (my favourite song from their new album).

Like that? Download it for free and move on to the next 3 songs!

If you made it this far you should know Snowmine is about to embark on their first Headlining tour. Dates are listed below their remix of Small Black’s “Reconstruction”.
