Whenever Grounders (Toronto) is playing a show in or around an area I am nearby, I always try and hit it up as they never disappoint. I’ve seen the band about four times before seeing them in London, ON at The Loft a couple weekends ago with Blonde Elvis and Danielle Fricke. I was really excited to see how Grounders new debut self-titled LP would translate live and much to my delight, it was incredible… like, worth a Polaris Music Prize Nomination (no jokes). Everything sounded fantastic from the dream-pop / psych-rock four-piece. It was easy to see that the band and audience were enjoying themselves from the huge smiles and synergies that were vibing between both sides throughout the entire set of new and older tracks.
