Swedish singer-songwriter MIYNT hailing from Stockholm just released her fourth single ‘You Were Never Too Much‘ off her debut EP, straightforwardly titled EP no. 1. There is however nothing very straightforward about the eccentric indie-pop singer, who first caught people’s attention with an intriguing and melancholic cover of Britney Spears’ biggest hit ‘…Baby One More Time.’

MIYNT describes the new single in an interview as “probably the most classic pop song of the EP.” Sugary sweet vocals croon overtop chilled-out disco synths and jangling guitars riffs “So long, too long since you came around.” The way she sings is quite nostalgic and I can’t help but feel like I’m being transported back in time to fonder memories.

Her longing for lost love is resolved in the chorus, where she concludes she might indeed be the one to blame. MIYNT’s success at crafting playful pop lullabies is not to be underestimated and I look forward to seeing her evolve as an artist.

Stream ‘You Were Never Too Much’ below, then when finished, listen to MIYNT’s entire debut album, EP no. 1 on Soundcloud.
