Dance to the rhythm, dance, dance to the rhythm!

New York City duo SOFI TUKKER kicks off 2016 with their second single that’s a dynamic body mover! The song is called “Matadora”, and it’s led by a pulsing riff performed on the Charango, a traditional Andean instrument. Blending the classically inspired touch with rhythmic throbs — hand claps, shaker, aggressive synths and a four-to-the-floor beat – the track breathes like a vigorous dance off set in a bullfighting pit, with vocalist Sophie Hawley-Weld’s slinking melody and chanted, obscured lyrics serving as the perfect incantation to lure any listener into submission. Grab the track on iTunes or your favorite streaming service on January 15th!

Be sure to catch SOFI TUKKER on tour starting January 14th in Brooklyn, NY supporting The Knocks (tour dates below).
