In my opinion, big ticket award shows are like trashy reality TV – there’s practically no deserving winners, ever. It’s all based on marketing dollars (corrupt up the wazoo). It’s a mistake if you put any value into whomever these multi-million dollar companies telling us is worthy of our ears and our praise, as they’ll take you down an unfulfilling personal journey of insignificance. In order to stay fulfilled, we should stay true to ourselves and our own tastes so we can continue to grow and refine ourselves as individuals. Only then will we move forward.
