NXNE does a great job every year bringing in up-and-coming musical acts from around the globe and this year was no different when Laurel (London UK) performed two shows at this year’s festival.

I was lucky enough to catch Laurel’s performance at the Future Islands showcase inside bar, Tattoo (567 Queen West) as the bar was packed by the time Laurel took the well lit Tattoo stage. I was happy because I had a front row space notched out right in-front of the lovely Laurel herself. The spot deemed excellent as Laurel’s sensual beat bouncing performance and candid positive thoughts about Toronto were refreshing. She was an absolute delight to see and hear live before heading off to my next scheduled band.

Have a listen to the most recent track that Laurel has released. It’s a Hannes Fischer Remix of her brand new track, “Shells”.
