Review – Ivytide

The album is appropriately named Softy since it seeps into the eardrums and cuddles over you like a puffy blanket.
The EP’s simple accompaniment of vocals, guitar, and bass is combined with hip-hop style drumming to “produce an infinite repeat of emotionally loaded, feel-good tunes that are certain to become stuck in your mind,” according to Ivytide’s press.
Although the lyrics are gently spoken, they have a conversational feel to them. It is as if Ivytide is quietly conversing with us about their new relationship, from the delight to the worry.

Review – Tania Joy

Tania, a graphic artist, got her initial guitar two decades ago but didn’t play until 2009.
According to Tania, her life was going through a tremendous transformation, and she used the instrument to get over it. Tania has been on a journey to discover her talent since then, resulting in this EP.
Tania has also used her unique voice to promote open mic nights and co-found Springtide, a non-profit music event that features over 70 bands in sites in Uxbridge, Ontario.

Mathew V., a Vancouver citizen, has just released his newest album, The Outer Circle. The album is a compilation of tracks that tell his life narrative.
He found inspiration when he reflected on his move to London, England, at age 17. In London, he developed his unique sound by combining his ten years of classical operatic voice training with a more modern atmosphere.
